Rockin’ A New Block: IRT helps Make It Right Rebuild New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward

IRT is now helping the Make It Right
foundation with all of their Apparel and Accessories. All items are earth conscious, organic in origins with proceeds that support a great program.

More than 4,000 homes in New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Brad Pitt founded Make It Right to build affordable, green, storm resistant homes for families New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward. Notable architects from around the world contributed their designs and construction began in March 2008.

Today the Lower 9th Ward is coming back to life as families return to new homes. Make It Right has also developed education and training programs focused on green design and construction and is planning projects in other communities around the US.
